Personal Goal for SEED Program: My personal goal for this program is to learn with and from other educators, combining the strengths of formal and informal educational expertise. Our museum has a long way to go in order to better serve and reflect our community, and I hope I can apply what I learn from this community ito create workshops and trainings for facilitators, volunteers, and STEM professionals.  

I also hope to build personal relationships with amazing educators who share values like Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Access, and Justice! I believe that building community will help sustain our ongoing efforts. This work can feel very siloed and isolated at times, and I would be very fortunate to meet like minds doing good work, and to establish working partnerships for the future.

Personal Goal for SEED Program:  
In this program I hope to gain a professional learning community of individuals who are looking to challenge the current system of education. This work cannot be done in a silo and works best when it is supported by a diversity of people from a diversity of fields. I hope to bring the lessons and skills I have learned to continue to learn alongside folks and be challenged. The new resources and ideas that come from these types of learning communities are incredibly valuable. To be a part of this program would mean not feeling so isolated and be armed with the tools to bring more folks on board at the museum in order to better include and serve our community.

I want to provide a virtual learning hub that will provide resources needed to teach diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM Education.
