About the Recycling Event

We are excited to have Anything with a Plug accepting materials to recycle in conjunction with the plant sale. You can bring any appliances, electronics, metal, glass, plastic, batteries, cables and so much more. We will also be collecting clean egg cartons (styrofoam, cardboard, or plastic), cooking oil, textiles, light bulbs, and thin films. Start saving your recyclables now!

About the Native Plant Sale

The annual native plant sale will be held in the courtyard of West Raleigh Presbyterian Church, 27 Horne Street, Raleigh, NC 27607. The sale opens at 9 am and closes at 12 pm or when all of the plants are gone.

Most of the plants in the sale come from the Beeloved Community Garden. We are pricing the plants so that everyone can afford to plant native! Four inch pots will be $5, $10 for 1 gallon, and $25 for 3 gallon shrubs and trees.

About the Garden

The Beeloved Community Garden was conceived to provide space for pollination of flowers by insects and of relationships by people.

The name is inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s vision of a world where love will transform, redeem, and bring people together in a new way.

Located just a block from NC State University, at 2506 Vanderbilt Avenue, the site is easily accessible to students and families who live in the neighborhood as well as those visiting campus or attending events at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church just across the street. Benches, tables, and paths make this an ideal place to sit and enjoy God’s creation and each other’s company.
