Science Virtual Field Trips "To Eat or Be Eaten" is a Yellowstone Virtual field trip that I have used with my fifth grade students. It is a wonderful experience to connect with ecosystems, consumers, producers, food web, etc. The field trip was entertaining and educational. I plan to use another field trip this year in conjunction with fifth grade studies on landforms. I have previewed the field trip about wolves and will preview a few more this summer. This can be a whole class activity with a projector and screen, a center activity for a pair of students or individual activity for each student in a lab setting. The site contains teacher resources and ideas on how to integrate the field trips. http://www.windowsintowonderland.org/

Many field researchers keep diaries on the site as well. There are also several interactive features, including an interview tool. Implementation strategies for K-12 teachers are also included.
